第 7 章: ⾳圧レベル表⺬のキャリブレーション
スピーカーのアナログ出力を正しくキャリブレー トするには、[OUTRIM]モードとSPLメーター を使用する必要があります。各スピーカーの出力 を正しくトリムし、目的のSPL値へキャリブレー トしたら、その値とディスプレイのSPL表示を一 致させます。
たとえば、5.1サラウンドのMAIN CRモニター・
パスを85SPLでキャリブレートするには:
1 7つのAUXインプット・トラックを持つPro Tools セッションを作成し、以下を行います。
• 最初のAUXインプット・トラックのアウトプッ トを他の6つのAUXインプット・トラック
(2–7)のインプットへバス経由で送ります。
• AUXインプット・トラック2–7の各アウトプッ トをモニター・パス1–6へルーティングします。
• メイン・アウトプットのボリュームを下げます。
• 最初のAUXインプット・トラックに[Signal Generator]を挿入し、–20dBFSのピンク・
ノイズを生成するよう設定してトラックを ソロ・セーフ・モードにします。
• すべてのトラックがユニティへ設定されて いることを確かめます。
• メイン・アウトプットのボリュームをゆっく りとユニティへ上げます。
2 HD OMNIで、[MONITOR]エンコーダーを使って MAIN CRパスのゲインを0dBへ設定します。
3 [OUTRIM]モードにして[OUT 1]を選択します。
4 最初のスピーカーへルーティングされている Pro ToolsのAUXインプット・トラックをソロに します。
5 ミックス位置でSPLメーターを使用し、SPLが 85になるまでHD OMNIのフロントパネルからア ウトプットをトリムします。
6 すべてのアウトプットに対して手順3-5を繰り 返します。
7 [OUTRIM]モードを解除します。
8 [SPLCAL]が表示されるまで[MONITOR]エ ンコーダーを回します。
9 [MONITOR]エンコーダー・ボタンを押して
[SPLCAL]を選択します。
10 [Cal MN]が表示されるまで[MONITOR]エ ンコーダーを回します。
11 モニターのエンコーダーを押して[Cal MN] を選択します。
12 [SET]が表示されるまで[MONITOR]エン コーダーを回します。
13 [MONITOR]エンコーダー・ボタンを押して
[SET]を選択します。ディスプレイに[0SPL]が 表示されます。
14 SPLが85になるまで[MONITOR]エンコー ダーを回します。
15 [MONITOR]エンコーダー・ボタンを押して 設定を確定します。
HD OMNIのTRIMモードの表示はdB単位です。
S P LメーターはC加重スケールを使った「ス ロー・レスポンス」へ設定してください。
ALT CRパ ス がMAIN CRパス と 同 じア ウ ト プットを使用する場合があります。その場合は ALTのスピーカー出力を??????????ALTのコ ントロール・ルーム・レベルを調整してMAIN CRパスのリファレンス(上記の例では85SPL) と 一 致 する よ う キャ リ ブ レー ト し てく だ さ い。
